Why Trailblazers
Why Wilmington families choose us
A youth running team built on athlete development. More than just runners, we choose to lace up and embrace the challenge.
Better, together
Established in 2007, Without Limits develops well-rounded runners in mind, body, and spirit. Every race, practice, strength routine, and workout is a chance to grow and learn.
To be Trailblazer Strong means believing in your passion and lifting up the people around you. When you join the Trailblazer family, you join a community where everyone matters and is recognized for who they are.
Our youth team includes distance runners and sprinters, with a primary focus on athlete development: speed and form, strength and endurance.
#TrailblazerStrong“Without Limits has been incredible for our child. The coaches do a great job teaching proper running, speed, endurance, and discipline while still keeping it fun. We’ve seen growth not only in fitness, but also in confidence and attitude. It’s clear the coaches care about the kids as people, not just athletes.”

All year
Cross country, track & summer camp
Trailblazers train year-round in Wilmington. Each season has a focus, so young runners keep building instead of starting over every fall.
Youth cross country
Our distance group trains for youth cross country, building the endurance, pacing, and race craft young runners need for school and club meets across southeastern North Carolina.
Youth track & field
Sprint & Agility athletes work on the speed mechanics, acceleration, and starts that carry into track season, and into soccer, lacrosse, and every other field sport.
Summer running camp
Summer training keeps young runners sharp. Our Youth Cross Country Camp in Banner Elk, NC gives middle and high school athletes a full week of mountain training before fall.
Winter training
Winter is when young athletes build a base. Trailblazers keep practicing with strength, form, and short speed work so they arrive at spring track and the next cross country season ready.
FAQ
Questions from parents
What ages can join?
The Trailblazers program is built for athletes ages 7 through 17. Practices are grouped so younger and older athletes both get age-appropriate work.
What’s the difference between Sprint & Agility and Distance?
Sprint & Agility focuses on speed mechanics, acceleration, and agility, great for track sprinters and field-sport athletes. Distance focuses on endurance, pacing, and race preparation for cross country and road racing. Both groups do strength and form work.
My child can only make one practice a week. Is that okay?
Yes. Choose the once-a-week option now and decide later whether to focus on Distance or Sprints. Plenty of our athletes start there.
Does my child need experience to join?
No. Our focus is athlete development, and we coach kids at every level, from first-timers learning to run to athletes competing for their school teams.
Do you offer scholarships?
Yes. We want all kids to have the opportunity to run with us. New and current Trailblazers can fill out the scholarship form and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
How do plans and billing work?
Plans and prices are on our join page. You can pay monthly with automatic renewal or pay up front for a block of months, and you manage your plan in the Without Limits app.
How will I know about practice times and location changes?
Practice times and locations live in the Without Limits app. That is where you see the schedule and book your athlete’s spot. We also send a weekly newsletter with upcoming races, games, opportunities, and any changes.
How do I set up the app?
Download the free Without Limits app and sign in with the email and password you used when you joined. From there you can book practices, add your athletes, and see the week’s workouts. There is also a web version at app.iamwithoutlimits.com. Youth athletes are added by a parent or guardian.
Can I ask questions before signing up?
Please do. Reach out before joining or any time during your membership. Contact the Trailblazers coaching staff.
