UNCW 5K – Aaron Kolk jumped back into the game at the collegiate track meet at UNCW running a 16:13 and 2nd overall. His 2nd race since November 2014 and a year off with Achilles surgery.
Umstead Marathon:
Patrick Horning ran a 4:18 trail marathon at the Umstead marathon. His hard work and joy for life made for a great day in the challenging hills at Umstead State Park. Patrick has come so far in his training.

Badwater Cape Fear:
Beth Greer has worked very hard and with a big goal in mind. She completed her first 50 miler (51 miles) at the Badwater Cape Fear. She is an example of someone that came from being self coached and stayed injured to someone that followed a plan and reached a goal she wasn’t sure she would ever be able to do. All the extras (strength, yoga, core, foam rolling and taking rest days) paid off and she reached her goal. Congrats Beth!
Myrtle Beach Full/Half Marathon
Christine Bean– Finished the half in 2:30… her second 13.1 in less than a month 🙂 Go Chris!
Frances White– Another half marathon completed and just in time to make it to the Duke/Carolina game where she could celebrate both! Great race Frances!!
Lauren Stephenson – she’s been killing it and training hard – you go girl!
Lo Tide
Eddie won overall masters male in under 21:00. 20:45 not bad for age 66
Renee Griffen PRed with a 23:41 and took 1st masters female!
Judy Williams ran a great race despite nursing a sore achilles 34:38. Christine Bean (10k) 3rd place AG win with a 1:04:15! Janet Coleman (10k) enjoyed her favorite St. Patrick’s race, finishing with a 1:05:55! Audra Heins finished the 10k (1:11:05) in good spirits with a big smile! Carrie Cheatham always enjoys a fun race with great friends ~ 1:16:24 Great 10k finish Carrie!
Congratulations Rockstar Melanie Meadows with a new half marathon PR at Tobacco Road!! You did it and broke the 2:30 barrier with a 2:27!!! Awesome. Melanie has the heart and courage of a Lion and the mental toughness of Yoda combined all together. So excited for you!
